Voiceover and Radio Explaination

This is a short video to show the raw edit of the voice over of our documentary and our radio edit. It also has a short brief description of why we used the voice over and radio edit.

Codes and Conventions of a Radio Trailer

The average length is 30 seconds 

It gives the scheduling information at the end of the trailer. The sequence is: title - date and time -    channel 

For the voiceover, the narrator outlines the narrative, whereby they may pose questions that will be answered in the programme 

Direct address is used as it uses personal pronouns like 'you' to intrigue the audience 

Extracts from the programme are used 

Sound effects were appropriate 

Music bed were appropriate

Here are the logging sheets we did for all of our work so we knew were all the clips where without having to look through all the footage. This saved us alot of time when making our documentary.

This list helped us to decide how our documentary was going to look, also whoever was doing the editing at the time they could just look at the list and get the exact clip that we all decided on.

Interview with Psychology Teacher

Today we filmed an interview with an Psychology teacher, we asked him some questions about what is fear and why we have fears. I believe this went well in terms of him giving us the right material for our documentary.

Pictures used in the documentary

We used these pictures in the montage at the beginning of our docmentary because we wanted to show a variety of fears so most of our target auidence would be able to relate straight away as they would fear at least one of the pictures shown. We also used footage cannoting the fear of heights, dogs, balloons popping, snake, deep water, lizzard, mice, birds and being trapped in small spaces.

We have decided to use this picture of the snake, as we are going to cut it out and then put it in line with the persons eye level.

All these pictures above were to dark to use.

We are going to use this picture for our newspaper advert, as we believe this creates the most effect.

These are the pictures for the interviews we held for the people who have a fobia of spiders.

Our group filmed some birds up-close to the camera, as we wanted them to look fearful, we are going to use this footage in the montage at the start of the documentary.

These are the pictures that we have taken which is photo evidence of the interview that we conducted with aislin about her fear of heights, we also filmed some cutaways of tall buildings zooming in and out to create more effect to the height on the building
